Hi, I'm a photographer and storyteller living in Clinton, New York, and I like taking long walks and making pictures. Photography is my therapy — when the camera's up to my face, the rest of the world seems to melt away.

I was born and raised in the small village of Cooperstown, N.Y., and left home when I enlisted in the United States Navy in 1991 at the age of 20.

I served as a Hospital Corpsman (medic) for 24 years and was stationed on warships, with Marine Corps units, and in hospitals and clinics throughout the world. In 2012 I deployed to Afghanistan with Provincial Reconstruction Team (PRT) Farah, where I served as both medic and team photographer.

In March of 2015, I retired from the Navy and resumed my civilian life —this time as a full-time undergrad at Syracuse University.

A while later, I graduated from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University with a B.S. in photography and a master's degree in Multimedia, Photography and Design.

Most recently, I received an honorable mention at the 2023 Lightwork Photography Grant and was published in NPR’s The Picture Show.
